Little mix adapting plan

Looking back at these plan I have adapted the location into a indoor white background photo shoot and for the fashion I have adapted from hip hop to elegant pop which is inspired by the Little Mix girl group that recently won the Xfactor.

I researched pictures of the x factor semi-finalists Little Mix,this gives me ideas of what type of fashion they wear and how they have done their recent photo shoots to help me for the cover image of my own band for my music magazine.

Fashion: Little mix's fashion style consists mix of patterned tights,high heels, mid thigh dresses and bow tie, overall this creates a young glam look to their band.

Location: Little mix's had their recent Look magazine photo shoots which is located in a bedroom and them chilling on the sofa, this location contrasts the glamorous look of the band to the casual location of the photos shoots.

Settings and props: The use of the colour blue on their props like shiny curtain,  patterned pillows and bed represents the bands style and adds up to their  pop young glam look.

The images above are my 2nd draft of my music magazine layout, I changed the font and deleted the advert on the double page article, in addition I added a quick quiz box to make it more personal and interesting to the readers.

What have you learnt?

I have learnt that big and bold headings catches the eyes of the readers and that plain backgrounds are used to focus the reader on the main artists photo on the magazine cover in addition different colours of fonts can be used depending the topic of the magazine.

Music Magazine Front Covers

By looking at these front covers, I have learnt that they use large headings so that you can recognise the magazines.  They use plain backgrounds to focus the attention to the artists images.  Also they use captial letters to emphasise the contents of the magazines.  These are all elements I want to include in my magazine.

Contents Page School Magazine

In my contents page I used different colours therefore its easier to see the number of the pages and also it attracts the attention of the reader because it has bright colours.

Evaluation of School Magazine

For my school magazine i used the pages software on the mac to create the pages and cover of my school magazine. I had a research about school magazines on google to see what are school magazines are about and to get ideas from to put in my school magazine. I started by planning what the school magazine is going to be about the EEHS school and what its going to look like. The cover of my school magazine consists pictures of the school sign, different buildings around the school and the logo of the school, in addition it also says a bit about how Epsom and Ewell started and what it offers to their current and future students. I used purple and blue for the colour theme and used other colours like yellow and green for the frames of the photos, then I used copper black as a font and 48 for the size of the text. On the contents page   I used kokonor font for the text and 72 font size, I made the contents word big therefore it catches the eye of the people also I used bright coloured stars on each page numbers and a light blue background on the whole page. Lastly I made the first page of my magazine which consists information about Epsom and Ewell's part in the community, how they help and the four houses in the school that each member of staff and students belong to.

In the preminalary task we are asked to do a research of school magazines to get ideas of how to make our school magazines and what it would look.

In my magazine plan I put different shapes on top where to put the images of the school therefore people who read the school magazine will know what the the school looks like also i put different colours of text box to catch the readers attention.
